Although India is not typically thought of as a wealthy nation, it has produced some of the world's richest individuals. This also holds true for Indian politicians, who, based on their millions-dollar net worth, are among the wealthiest leaders. They may not be sporting the most stylish attire suitable for a red carpet presentation, but their bank information will certainly shock you.

 Mahendra Prasad is the first


This Rajya Sabha member has an estimated net worth of Rs 13,300 crore. Prasad, a Bihar pharmaceutical tycoon, was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1980 from the Jehanabad constituency. At the time, the region served as the focal point of a terrible conflict between Naxalites and upper castes. Aristo Pharmaceuticals was founded by Prasad, who first entered the Rajya Sabha in 1985.

2. Jyotiraditya Scindia



Scindia, a current member of the BJP's Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh, is a member of the royal family and has a $3,790 million fortune. Between 2009 and 2012, he served as the UPA government's Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry. Scindia currently serves as the BJP's minister of civil aviation.

3. Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy



The industrialist politician and member of the Rajya Sabha has a net worth of Rs. 2,577 crores. The Ramky Group of Companies was founded by him.

4. Jaya Bachchan



Mrs. Bachchan, a Samajwadi Party member who has served in the Rajya Sabha four times, has a net worth of $1 billion. She is a seasoned Bollywood celebrity with a long list of smash singles.

5. Abhishek Singhvi



Singhvi, a different Rajya Sabha member, owns assets worth Rs 860 crore. Singhvi, the national spokesperson for the Indian National Congress, was chosen to serve in the upper house of Parliament from the West Bengal seat.

The only person to have survived the Modi wave in the state is the Congress leader. Nakul Nath, the son of the previous chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, has a net worth of Rs. 660 crores.

8. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy



The son of the last chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Reddy, is the current CM.

9.T Subbarami Reddy



Reddy, a member of INC, has a net worth of Rs. 422 billion. He serves as the chairman of the Gayatri Group of Industries and has served in the Lok Sabha thrice.

10. The tenth person is Rajkumar Dhoot


Shiv Sena member who is also the Promoter & Co-Owner of the Videocon Group of Companies is the Immediate Past-President of the Apex Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, ASSOCHAM (The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India). He has served in the Rajya Sabha three times and has a net worth of Rs 280 crore.

Monkeypox: Is this another pandemic after Covid-19?   Karnataka's first case of the monkeypox virus has been confirmed, the Karnataka health department said on Sunday. The case has been detected in a middle-aged Ethiopian citizen who had come to Bengaluru earlier this month. He was subjected to a monkeypox test after he was suspected to have symptoms. His report first said that it is a case of chickenpox, but when his samples were sent to the National Institute of Virology in Pune, his reports were found positive.   Health Minister K Sudhakar told reporters that there was no need for people to panic as it is not a deadly disease. “There is no need to panic over monkeypox. But, of course, we need to take some precautionary measures. However, even if it comes, there is treatment available for it. It does not lead to death.
